To my younger self.

Dear younger me,

As you read this letter, know that you are strong and capable. Life may seem uncertain and daunting at times, but you will come out on the other side, stronger and more resilient.

I know you’re going through a tough time right now, dealing with insecurities and self-doubt. But remember that you are worthy and deserving of happiness. Don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise. Believe in yourself and your abilities, and know that you are capable of achieving great things.

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. They are a part of life and are necessary for growth. Learn from them, and don’t let them define you.

Cherish the moments you have with the people you love. They will be the ones who will support you through the tough times, and the ones who will be by your side when you succeed.

Never stop dreaming and reaching for your goals. You have the power to shape your future and make your dreams a reality. Believe in yourself and keep pushing forward.

You are going to go through a lot of changes, but know that you are not alone. You will find your passion, your voice and your place in this world. You will make mistakes, but you will learn from them. You will find love, lose love, and find it again. You will discover new things about yourself and your surroundings. And most importantly, you will learn how to love and respect yourself.

With all my love, Your older self.

Don’t take it personally..

No? How am I supposed to take it?

The point is, I LIKE to take things personally, I think it creates an interesting challenge — even closeness — and makes for lively, honest conversations that even lead to something, like discoveries about each other! I also not only like to take things personally, I like people to take ME and the things I do and say personally, because I’m a person who tries to be as personal as possible. Why? Because it gives me a soft, warm, emotional and personal feeling. It glosses over my insecurities and makes me feel like being “seen”, recognized, something we all crave, no matter how silly that is.

Of course, there are things I definitely don’t take personally or really don’t care about one way or another. Like when a dog would try to bite me, or if the bus driver doesn’t smile, or when a homeless lets down his pants on the subway and starts swinging it around — a daily sight in NYC.

Nope, not taking any of that personally. As for the rest… 🙄

Don’t let the darkness snuff out your light.

The harsh reality is that we live in a cruel world where more often then not, darkness can be found not only surrounding our every day lives, but can also be felt within ourselves. The flickering of news channels and news articles can almost always be counted on to be a bearer of bad new. Showing how much humanity is in chaos with the world and itself.
Truth is that at the very moment your eyes are passing these very words, people are dying while others are crying. There are murderers, rapists, and abusers in this world causing their victims turmoil of a living hell. Millions of souls in this world are slowly losing faith in their dreams and hopes such as a candle light flickering just before it’s final moments of forever being blown out. There are people who are losing everything they ever loved, who are depressed beyond belief, who are suffering a disease that could take their lives atany moment  and who feel like their losing a war at which an unknown monster is winning. At this moment, people are homeless trying to find a way to survive each day. At this moment, there are people who are starving wondering where to find food each day. And at this moment, someone out there is ending their life because they decided they couldn’t handle the cruelty of this world anymore. And throughout all this, we stand and witness all this sadness and destruction.
There’s a saying out there: The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.
And that’s just it. The world is a cruel place, but it is not without its good. I mean, for how evil this world is, there are so many people who do not sit by and not do anything about it. There are countless of people who are trying to help the less fortunate, who are trying to right the wrongs, and if anything…out there hoping for a better tomorrow. In a world full of darkness, it is still important to remember there are countless lights of good people with good hearts that still can be found and with it, hope for a this world to improve and be better. And as you’re reading these words, be one of the lights in this vast darkness. Be one of the good in this cruel world. Don’t let the darkness snuff out your light.

It’s an imitation McGriddle

It’s just two vegan pancakes and a black bean burger.

Vegan extra sweet pancakes:

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons coconut sugar

1 1/2 cup flour (I used 1 cup rice + 1/2 cup wheat flour)

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup almond milk

1 tablespoon vanilla

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instruction:

Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl. Whisk the water and oil together in a small bowl. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, and pour in the wet. Stir just until blended; mixture will be lumpy.

Heat a lightly greased griddle (I use earth balance soy free butter) over medium-high heat. Drop batter by large spoonfuls onto the griddle, (I used a hamburger mold to get a perfect circle and a thick cake) and cook until bubbles form and the edges are dry. Flip, and cook until browned on the other side. Repeat with remaining batter.

Black Bean Burger recipe:

Ingredients:

* 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed

*
1/3 cup chopped sweet onion

*
1 tablespoon minced garlic

*
3 baby carrots, grated (optional)

*
1/4 cup minced green bell pepper (optional)

*
1 tablespoon cornstarch/ arrow root

*
1 tablespoon warm water

*
3 tablespoons chile-garlic sauce or Sriracha

*
1 teaspoon chili powder

*
1 teaspoon ground cumin

*
1 teaspoon seafood seasoning Old Bay

*
1/4 teaspoon salt

*
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

*
2 slices whole-wheat bread, torn into small crumbs

*
3/4 cup unbleached flour, or as needed

Instruction:

* Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). I use a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. You could just grease the baking sheet instead.

* Put the black beans, onion, garlic, carrots, and green bell pepper in the food prosesser (I used one with an S shape on low) you could however just smush all of this in a bowl.

* Whisk cornstarch, water, chile-garlic sauce, chili powder, cumin, old bay seasoning, pink salt,  and black pepper together in a separate small bowl. Stir cornstarch ( I used arrow root)  mixture into black bean mixture.

* Mix whole-wheat bread into bean mixture. Stir flour, 1/4 cup at a time, into bean mixture until a sticky batter forms.

* Spoon ‘burger-sized’ mounds of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, about a 3/4-inch thickness per mound. Shape into burgers.

* Bake in the preheated oven until cooked in the center and crisp in the outside, about 10 minutes on each side.

There is no celebration in disrespecting another woman.

It’s become the silent emotional killer among women. Women who are downright mean, malicious and disrespectful with each other. This trend is creating havoc in our relationships with each other, for it strikes the core of sisterhood. Real sisterhood can only exist when respect and trust stand unshakeable. In this particular, most men are quite opposite to us. For a man, a brother is a brother is a brother.

However, what is most disturbing about our malicious ways is that we are passing on a legacy of a broken sisterhood to our daughters. Girls that are mean and catty are usually this way because their understanding is that this is a normal part of femaleness.

They grow up to become mean and catty women who perpetuate a diseased sisterhood. To break this cycle we each need to make a conscious effort to validate all women. Be they our friends or not. Otherwise, we will continue to find ourselves moving within circles of female hostility, suspicion, and pain.

Here is my list of the most detestable practices that we need to discontinue in order to heal our sisterhood:

1. Talking about each other

You are really not her friend if what you have to say about her is so bad you can’t say it in front of her. If you are a real friend you should be able to tell her your concerns for her life to her face. If you have the need to tell others, but you haven’t found the time to tell her – red lights should be flashing. Believe it or not, gossiping is not an intrinsic part of being female. Women who gossip do it not because it’s a woman-thing, but because they want to elevate themselves and put other women in a place of inferiority. Gossiping is just another symptom of deeper insecurities.

2. Fighting for men

One of the most undignified things that any woman can do is to fight, argue, or curse another woman over a man. It’s a disgusting trend that used to be a school girl thing, but today adult women are doing it too. If both of you are in conflict – because his choice is not clear – then that means that he’s really not into any of you. He’s probably playing both of you. That man really does not deserve love or attention from either one of you. Let him go.

3. Joining female gangs

Women who make you feel unwelcome and unwanted within their circle of friends are not to be trusted. Women cliques have become common in the workplace, at church, in the neighborhood. Cliques are the dwelling place of insecure women. Women who join cliques are seeking refuge from their own lack of confidence by cocooning themselves within this circle of supposed exclusivity. Again, the need to belong to, or be part of a clique is also a sign of deeper insecurities. Beware, cliques are usually encouraged and thrive on a type of gang mentality.
4. Undermining each other

Beware of any woman who can never celebrate your accomplishments with you. It could be a new boyfriend, a promotion, an award, a new job, a new acquisition, weight loss. If she has nothing positive to say to you about it, does not show emotional support, or chooses to remain silent she is not a true friend. Real friends know how to recognize and genuinely rejoice for our successes with pride.
5. Competing against each other

You need to get this straight. There will always be another woman with nicer hair, a more caring husband or boyfriend, better behaved children, a better paying job, a bigger house, a more fashionable wardrobe – there will always be some woman with more of what you don’t have. Consequently, the only person that you need to compete against is yourself. Strive to be the best that you can be – for you. Competing against other women to prove yourself superior is a financial and emotional drainer. Because of this mindless competition we become mean, envious and hypocritical. It is pointless.

6. Disrespecting boundaries

To survive peacefully every relationship and every friendship must have clear boundaries. Good relationships operate within margins of respect. Within this level of respect, privacy and intimacy are keywords. Yes, you are my friend, but that doesn’t give me the right to walk into your bedroom or your kitchen, unbeknownst to you, and help myself to your stuff. I don’t do this not because you won’t allow me to, but because I respect your privacy and your things. Consequently, we both need to know and respect each other’s levels of privacy and intimacy.

7. Crossing boundaries

This is similar to the above, the only difference is that my respect of your boundaries should never depend on my friendship with you. We need to respect women for the simple fact that they are women. If she is a woman she is a sister. Period. Therefore, from that understanding I will have the utmost respect for her children, her man, her opinions, her choices, and for her as a person. It amazes me how women are quick to disrespect another sister’s boundaries, but feel offended if another woman does to them the same exact thing. Honestly, that type of inconsistent behavior can only be credited to some form of mental illness.

8. Exploiting our friendships

This is a major one. Why are you friends? Do you only remember her being around whenever she could get something from you?

Foods that help us get through menstruation.

The first of these phases is the week after your period, so you should start it the day after you stop bleeding. Each phase lasts about a week

The follicular phase: sprouted and fermented foods

When: one week after your period
Estrogen is rising during this phase, so the best foods to eat are ones with prebiotics and 3-endole-carbinol, which help your body break down and metabolize the powerful hormone. Some good options are sauerkraut, kimchi, bean sprouts, and broccoli sprouts.

The ovulatory phase: raw juices and fresh, whole veggies

When: two weeks after your period
Your estrogen levels surge even more this week, so it’s key to eat foods that help move it out of your body. Antioxidants and fiber will accomplish this, so load up on fruits and vegetables. To pack a bunch in at once, juice (apple, carrots, cucumber, kale) Still, it’s crucial to also eat plenty of raw, whole sulfur-rich vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, kale, and cauliflower) so your liver gets enough glutathione, a powerhouse molecule with a long list of vitamins.

The luteal phase: greens and grains

When: three weeks after your period
At this point, progesterone levels surge along with estrogen, and then both start to wane, which can lead to mood swings (Bitch mode). That’s where vitamin B–rich foods come in: They help your brain produce the pleasure-inducing hormone serotonin. Grains like quinoa and buckwheat are key, also eat a lot of leafy greens during this time, since they pack calcium and magnesium that help regulate hormones. As a bonus, both grains and greens contain soluble fiber, which provides additional help with getting extra estrogen out of your body.

The menstrual phase: healthy fats and root vegetables

When: the week of your period
Your hormone levels go back down during your period, and foods with fatty acids, like avocado, help keep your mood stable amid this shift. In the meantime, root veggies like sweet potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, and beets provide vitamin A to help your liver process estrogen.

You don’t have to restrict other foods from your diet but by having more of the suggested you WILL feel better. Listen to your body and honor the phase you’re in.

Narrow paths are found in the center.

Die alone (all-one)

never in fragments .

And, that’s what we’re experiencing in life right now – people fragmenting themselves and falling in love with their own reflections which is worship(war-ship) of self to the non-self .

For example , if you “fall in love” – you ignite a level of consciousness that endows obligation such as IMMOBILITY . How So?

In the sense that you can subconsciously become disempowered when “falling” in love . This happens when the expectations or desires you have for another become subjective within the relationship . You virtually begin giving up your inner relationship with SELF . You being to forget what makes you UNIQUE & CENTERED .

But, if you “rise in love” – you virtually stimulate MOBILITY through creative process, inadvertently demanding more freedom . How So ?
In the sense that “Rising” in love brings on the notion that you never surrender self-empowerment for another . You stay steadfastly centered in love with one’s Self and keeps the highest integrity with your Soul . You remain centered in Self while creatively sharing and merging with the energies of another . So, beauty in self , and in the self of another , are never lost or jeopardized .

So, in essence – there’s never a separation between what you love and who you are because it always remains in a state of ONENESS .

For instance , every-time you think a thought , you are experiencing a part of yourself that is unseen because – if you are your voice and your voice comes from sound and sound comes from your mind and you are your thoughts then when you hear your voice , you are seeing how you look thru sound .

So, the thought is more provoking and detrimental than the act itself because it’s created from the root which is the mind and if you are the thoughts coming from your mind then guess what ? You already played out before coming into the physical realm . Hence , why it is already written . Our essence is invisible energy and invisible implies that you have to look within because it’s IN-VISIBLE .

So, day and night is a reflection of you , the illusion is the flesh(3D) , the reality is the dream(5D

And you only see yourself in on spot because you are focused on the flesh (the illusion), but the reality is that if you look all around you, you will be able to see yourself everywhere.

So with that said- consider that with in every human being there are simultaneous states of exsistence that are active predating human life, during human life and beyond human life- because Destiny is always authoring things and before she closes the book, she always initiates another one wether it’s about you or not because even if it is a book about another demension, you must remember that you are everything. Even the unknown which is the reality . The reality covers ALL wether you are conscious of it or not, you are everything and you are everywhere.

When life gives you lemons…

Clarifying moisturizer: Mix a few drops of coconut water with a few drops of lemon juice. The coconut will hydrate your skin, and lemon will clear and brighten it.
Elbow and knee bleacher: If your elbows and knees appear dark, simply rub them with half of a lemon, It’s like magic!
Blackhead treatment: It may sound too good to be true, but because lemons are antibacterial, they can help treat acne. Just slice a lemon, and squeeze the juice on your face. Your blackheads will start to fade before you know it.
Cleansing wipes: I like to mix a couple drops of lemon and tea tree essential oil in about 6 ounces of distilled water. I recommend it as a toner or for use with cotton pads as a cleansing wipe for problematic skin.
Teeth whitener: Mix baking soda and lemon juice, and apply it to your teeth with a clean Q-tip. Then, use your toothbrush to scrub your teeth and rinse. It’s way cheaper than going to your dentist’s office.
Canker sore treatment: Use a few drops of the lemon essential oil on your canker sores to help them heal faster.
Skin brightener: Lemons are rich in vitamin C and citric acid, so they can help brighten and lighten your skin when used over time. Vitamin C is a great antioxidant for neutralizing free radicals and boosting collagen production. That means it can help lighten age spots, dark spots, and scars.
Shine eliminator: Lemon is great for reducing excess oil.
Lip exfoliator: Put a little lemon juice on your lips before bedtime, and wash it off in the morning to help remove dead skin cells and dried skin. One caveat: Obviously, if you already have severely chapped lips that have any cuts, do not try this. 😩
Nail strengthener: Have you been getting too many gel manicures? Make a mixture of your favorite cooking oil (try olive oil) with lemon juice, and soak your nails. This is a good practice if your nails are dry and brittle, but it’s also a great way to help fix nails that have yellowed.
Hair Lightener: Score dye-free DIY highlights with lemon juice. Apply it before you expose your hair to sunlight to score a sun-kissed color. The lemon juice can also help treat a dry scalp and dandruff, so apply it liberally.
Giving new meaning to the phrase. “When life gives you lemons!” 😏

7 Day Juice Fast

For those looking for a great way to detox and shed a few extra pounds!

You should not eat any solids during this 7 Day Juice Fast Plan. It defeats the purpose of it. So stay away from any solids, you’ll be Just On Juice for seven days.
If you get headaches, or strong cravings, it is normal for the first 2-4 days. Just stay focused and stay on the juice. Make an extra Juice to drink if you feel like you’re about to cave in and eat something solid.
Drink at least 16 oz of water after each juice meal. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
Start each day off by juicing 1/2 lemon (peeled) and mix it with 12-16 ounces of warm to hot water. I do this as soon as I wake up each morning, it’s important to cleanse your digestive system and give you a good boost of energy.
It’s recommended to have between 4-6 juices per day each consisting of 16-20 ounces. The below list is great to get you started with different juices. You can choose whichever juices you please while on your juice fast. The list takes into consideration you will try them all. So feel free to experiment you’ve got 7 days!

After 3-4 days you will start to feel an abundance of energy, headaches will be gone, and you won’t be as hungry. This means you have overcome the hard part.

Make sure you are coring your apples as you do not really want to juice the seeds.
